Becoming a wrestler isn't something that will be an over night transformation, it takes training, dedication, determination, and to look impressive in and out of the ring. Kayfabe Dojo is home of such independent wrestling stars as Brodie Lee, The Olsen Twins, Rhythm and Booze, Mastiff, Eric Everlast, Gabe Saint, and Ring of Honor's Dunn and Marcos, and Cheech and Cloudy. You will be in the ring with the best local talent and some of the best talent in the world. This is your opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business!
Receive hands on training to get you on the way to becoming a wrestler, manager, or referee.
Training Sessions
New trainee's will start by learning the basics from Head Trainers Hellcat and NWA Upstate Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Olsen:
Learning to fall properly
Running the ropes
Locking up
Posture
As you progress in training you will begin to tackle other aspects of wrestling such as:
Take downs
Submissions
High flying moves
The more important aspects of wrestling aren't even the moves, throughout training you will learn:
Ring psychology
Skill and speed training
Charisma and character development
There will even be occasional training seminars with an outside star that's coming in for a show. This are open to anyone regardless of the skill level.
When the Kayfabe Dojo officials think you are ready you will receive a spot on a live NWA Upstate or NWA Empire show. The Kayfabe Dojo officials will give you an unbiased report on your strengths, weaknesses, potential, and where you need to improve.
Although classes run 4 days a week, it is not necessary to attend every training session. The more you train, the quicker you learn and the faster you get your first match. The more you're around it, the more you'll take in, the better you'll be, the quicker you'll debut in your very first match!
